Shemshak Boutique Hotel was registered in Cultural Heritage List of Iran (registration number 32614) as the first Boutique hotel of Iran on 8 September 2019.

At the beginning of the first Pahlavi period (after 1304 AD), the town of “Shemshak” and area around it was a coal mine and it was used for fueling and moving trains. The Germans were assisted in extraction activities, and a power generation center and buildings were built for their residence in Shemshak.
